It wasn’t long ago that I was a shy preschool teacher who had just started her own business.

So it seemed like building a business, much less a successful business on social media, was virtually impossible for me.

But I tried it anyway...

I bought a bunch of courses.
I read so many books. Like...a hundred that first year!
I listened to podcasts and trainings and downloaded every free thing I could get my hands on...

I just couldn’t find a strategy that felt good to me...

It was all so...canned.

But still, I spent hours creating posts and content for my profile, and then I would hit post...

And I'd get a like... from my mom. (Thanks, Mom!)

I felt frustrated.

And discouraged.

But I was determined to figure out SOME way to make this work for me.

So, I slowly began to take bits and pieces from all the coaching I’d invested in, all the knowledge I’d gained, and I started to apply them to my business in a way that felt more like me.

And one day the unthinkable happened…

Someone actually reached out to ME

inquiring about my business!

As it turns out...the more-authentic-to-me pieces I’d been patching together actually brought someone to me, instead of me having to make more annoying reach outs !!!

When I stopped trying to do it like everyone else, someone I respected and admired reached out to me.

So I invited her to coffee. We chatted for a little bit...

And the next thing I know... she's handing me her credit card, and buying EVERYTHING.
